Chapter 15: Daytime Nightmare

[Kinato's perspective]
I was sitting down, looking at my phone, and chatting with my best friend from Natoruyo after taking some good and relaxing naps. I checked my backpack, and found a magical orb that me and Katasu bought earlier. Katasu only bought one and gave it to me, so Katasu doesn't have a magical orb. 

I wonder what the orb does, but I decided not to tamper with it, because it looks dangerous and it could possibly kill me! I looked around the car and there was nothing that interests me.

And... I'm feeling hungry, I looked around again and everyone was gone. Where were they? Oh right, it's afternoon now. Everyone forgot to bring me to the cafeteria. Good thing there's some sandwiches in the fridge, so I ate it. I stopped feeling hungry right after.

But, why am I going to fall asleep again? Eating food gives me energy, right?

I didn't know if I fell asleep yet, so I walked outside of the car, and everyone was nowhere to be seen. Suddenly, it was raining, great! I weared my cute frog-styled raincoat and walked around. I'm gonna check on Katasu, and Katasu's in... uh... Zach's house! I remembered the destroyed arcade shop, and Zach's house was right... There! I got in, and there are really many puddles of blood. What if Katasu's dead? I'm scared!

I walked up the stairs, and found Katasu. "Katasu! You're alive!" I shouted. "I'm alive, but I'm sure you aren't, Kinato." Katasu stared at me with her clothes being really bloody, while she's grabbing a bloody knife. Katasu's eyes was red.

I quickly ran away to the door, and tried to open the door. It won't open, but I found a closet, and tried to hide in it. I found some crystals there, and Katasu still managed to find me anyway, and didn't hesitate to throw me on the ground and stab my head. I was really scared, but I didn't feel any pain. I closed my eyes, and I didn't scream.

All of a sudden, I felt comfortable. My body feels like it's on a couch. I opened my eyes, and I was on the limousine. I was dreaming.

I fell asleep, and I didn't have my raincoat on me. But there's a mysterious dark blue crystal near me, and it looks simillar to the one I found in that dream. It's still afternoon. I decided to interact with the orb...

It lit up, and floated around me. I don't know what these are called, and I doubt that it can do something good for me. I tried to rub it again and it stopped orbiting around me.

I have no idea, but I can always rely on Satora about magical things. Katasu seems... not gonna be rude, but, she's pretty stupid. I'll rest for now, but I'll try not to fall asleep. That dream was pretty scary, but was it the Katasu I knew about? She looked a bit different, and I believe everyone in my dreams are people I have seen before, so...

Does Katasu have an another self? An evil manifestation behind her body? Katasu's hair was purple in that dream, and her eyes were... glowing red.

Katasu is an interesting person to learn about, the "alter ego" I've seen has a bloody scarf that probably belongs to Zach, and that house I explored in my dream... Was Zach's house. Am I supposed to remember it, or forget it? Was that Katasu really just a dream? Or a real person?

...

It's a hard thing to figure out! Someday, that the evil Katasu will haunt me forever in my dreams, or even kill me.

I shouldn't warn others about this. I'm scared if I mention the evil Katasu, she will really come to my place and kill me.

I really want to live a peaceful, normal life, where nobody bothers me and only talks to me when I'm ready to talk. And yes, I can speak. I just don't want to reveal my voice at all...

[At where the rest of the squad is, No perspective]
Kazai just finished drinking her bubble tea, and she knows that she forgot to bring Kinato with her, but she didn't care because Kinato could always find a sandwich in the fridge. She takes her daily dose of Vitamin C pills, and left to the library. Sai said "Hey Luka, what's your high score on that boss song of Chapter 2? I mean, the Master difficulty." Luka replied with "Hmm, let me check... 623111 score. It's really hard!" Sai was speechless, and decides to follow Kazai to the library. Haku looked at Sai with his cold eyes.

[Notice] Discontinutation of Monochrome Blankness ('s current storyline)

I'm really sorry, everyone, if there is even anyone who reads my stuff. I wish to discontinue this novel project of mine due to a lot of reasons. Some of those reasons include me wishing to pursue further knowledge on game development, and to improve on my writing. I felt like the pacing of the chapters was way too fast, and the storywriting's quality is poor, which resulted in me being in an art block.  I also want to spend my time doing what I love, and maybe I'll come back to love writing again. It's up to your own interpretation on how the story ends, and I'll continue writing Side Stories or Extra Chapters here and then. Well, just so you know, Ambroise and Kazai are alive and well! From now on, I will be adding date and time to the chapters I write. It's gonna be a different story, yet I'll continue it in the universe that I built with love and care.
