Side Story 1, Chapter 4: Prototype Halcyon

While Zach is preparing to build Prototype Halcyon, I'm thinking about something...

Is the tip of this world... Like an edge of some floating stairs, or like a tall, endless tower? What's on the end of it? 

Maybe a place to insert something, like something powerful...

Or maybe a place to look at something, an endless world beyond, outer space, or a god?

What will you get from going there? Getting yourself deleted in the light, because you inserted a powerful item, or return home, because you didn't find the truth?

The universe is surely a wonder to figure out, and it's sometimes terrifying...

"Katasu, we've been building it for 10 minutes, what are you thinking about the first part?" Zach walked up to me and said this! They're building it already? "Zach... Off topic but, what does the tip of this world look like?" I asked him a question. "I... don't really know." He said.

I looked at the first part of the sword, it was already a powerful-looking heavy sword! It has only 1 blade though. I asked what it does. "Well, I'm making it a powerful sword, with the blade made from high quality iron. It's designed to make energy sweeping edges." Zach explained to me, and that's a really nice concept! That could do more than that, I think.

"So, there's gonna be more features of this thing, like generating an energy arrow, and making the sword become a bow, while it still doubles as a sword... And nothing else more I can think of..." Zach said. "A sword turning into a bow is cool! I've seen one in the movies before, nya!" I said in excitement. Zach gave me an "energy string projector" and asked me to test it out. I turned on the string projector, and a dark blue string actually conmected to the other one! The color seems simillar to my hair color, though. "I'm actually really tempted to touch the string..." I said. "You should be, because only the Prototype Berserker gloves, and stronger gloves can touch it. It's a dangerous weapon to wield, but when you get the hold of it, you can destroy Utoko with this. Even though Prototype Halcyon is very heavy, you can pick it up with the Prototype Berserker." Zach explained almost the whole thing to me. "What's Prototype Beserker? Meow?" I asked. "Prototype Beserker is a pair of gloves, or you can call a gauntlet, is a finished project of mine. It's a glove designed for fighting, speedy movements, and lifting heavy items. Any other things you try to do with it barely works... I made this because I'm a weak person, and I can't even manage to defend myself. I have 2 pairs of them though, and I can give you one if you help me build Prototype Halcyon." Zach said.

I'm really excited to wear Berserker! This will help on further adventures, if the enemies are strong! I wonder what other prototypes does Zach have, so I asked him.

"...It's a secret. But, I'll tell you a prototype I've finished a long time ago. A which I secretly built with the chief engineer of the International Justice Department, and put it somewhere in the edge of the world. A mysterious edge... The edge of the world should be kept a secret to most of the people, even I have not seen it myself. Only a few of the world knows about it. I was just teleported to the place where I'm going to place the machine, and also blindfolded." Zach explained. I don't know the name of that prototype yet, and I'm probably not supposed to. Seems interesting though, for a machine to be put in the edge of the world! Maybe I should ask someone from the IJD (International Justice Department) about it...

Right, Satora! Have she mentioned that she's from IJD... though? I'll try to text her.

[Me: Hey, Staora! What does the edge of the world look like?]
[Satora: I'm not Staora!]

I mistyped...

[Me: Oh, sorry. Can you tell me about the edge of the world?]
[Satora: I don't really know about that, but there are several edges of the world. But I know that there's some floating stairs that can lead you to the edge of this world, and also a tall tower that reaches the atmosphere. There are several floating stairs around, and several towers, but they're hard to find. You can't quite see a tower that reaches the atmosphere, though. It's invisible, and only appears when you get near them. Why?]
[Me: Do you know about Zach?]
[Satora: The taxi driver? With the red and black car?]
[Me: Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]
[Satora: I know him from somewhere, and he built a prototype that's on the edge of the world a long time ago. Is this why you asked me?]
[Me: Yes!]
[Satora: So... I'll send you an encrypted file about it later. Seeya!]
[Me: Bye!]

I closed my phone, and I decided to help Raki build Halcyon. Satora took really long to reply, and now it's 2PM.

I wanted to think about this more further, but Halcyon's the priority right now... I'm tired, so I asked Zach if I can sleep to 4PM. Zach said yes, so I'm sleeping for 2 hours now.

[Notice] Discontinutation of Monochrome Blankness ('s current storyline)

I'm really sorry, everyone, if there is even anyone who reads my stuff. I wish to discontinue this novel project of mine due to a lot of reasons. Some of those reasons include me wishing to pursue further knowledge on game development, and to improve on my writing. I felt like the pacing of the chapters was way too fast, and the storywriting's quality is poor, which resulted in me being in an art block.  I also want to spend my time doing what I love, and maybe I'll come back to love writing again. It's up to your own interpretation on how the story ends, and I'll continue writing Side Stories or Extra Chapters here and then. Well, just so you know, Ambroise and Kazai are alive and well! From now on, I will be adding date and time to the chapters I write. It's gonna be a different story, yet I'll continue it in the universe that I built with love and care.

Chapter 1: The Beginning

[10:34 PM July 8, 2026, Kazai's house] While everyone was sleeping, Satora was looking outside the window at Kazai's house while sipping some tea. There was suddenly a thunderstorm, and the thunder was abnormally too strong. She thought beforehand that it was a disaster. "Gah! W-wait, there's... Is this a disaster?"
