Side Story 1, Chapter 7: Strange Program

It's midnight, and something woke me up. I walked up to see what it was. It was from Zach's computer. It's never started by itself before.

I looked around the computer. Zach plays that game too? I really loved that game on how it made me cry so much! I like that character who's a bit simillar to me, he's like, the cutest protagonist ever! I wanted to play that game again, but I think Zach has completed the true ending.

Suddenly, a window popped up. It's a command prompt, but it only opened for a second. Then another window popped up. It said "..." and then a chat window popped up.

I typed "What's this?" and it instanly replied "A chat program."

[Me: Who are you? Why did the computer start by itself? What do you need?]
[???: ...Huh. I don't want to tell, but the computer started to catch your attention, because I wanted to tell you something, Katasuri.]
[Me: How did you know my name?]
[???: I know you're here.]
[Me: Oh, okay. What is it?]
[???: Have you heard the news about the 2 kids missing? The one that both are related, and that is last seen in the wheat fields?]
[Me: Yes, why?]
[???: If you try to find them, I reccomend you not to find them. They're already gone, but they can probably find a way to return.]
[Me: Hey... Where are they? Did you take them away?]
[???: A different world. But... they were never in the same world as we live, in the first place. You should know about Hakusaishi Gerald Silver.]

Hakusaishi Gerald Silver? Seems like a person I've known about before. He's a cool-looking adult guy... who comes from a game. Wait... never in the same world as I live, in the first place? Haku really did come from a game.

[Me: I know Haku comes from a game, but it doesn't make sense at all!]
[???: Use your head, Katasuri. How are the 2 kids suddenly gone to a different world, and how did Haku come here?]

From a world... to a different world? From a different world... to here? Right! The infinite worlds theory. I don't know much about it, but the wi-fi is still on and I can search it! I searched "The infinite worlds theory", and the chat said "Correct, Katasuri. It's the infinite worlds theory."

[Me: How did you know what I was searching?]
[???: I have full access to the computer.
[Me: Woah! That's so cool!]
[???: Another thing, Katasu.]
[Me: What?]
[???: The infinite worlds theory is a real thing, and it doesn't contradict with the theory about the multiverse theory. It's almost the same thing, but the infinite worlds are planets, and sometimes it could be flat, a cube, or anything like that.]
[Me: You seem a bit helpful, how can I find you?]
[???: Actually, I'm just a program. In a computer.]
[Me: Oh, cool nya! How can I bring you along?]
[???: Documents.]

"Documents"? Well, let's see the file explorer. I see something called "specane.exe" here. And there's also this "My Games" folder in a documents folder. "specane.exe" is the name of the program, which means it should only work in a computer. I don't know how to bring it along...

Oh right, Zach has many USB drives! I think he won't mind if I steal his... I walked to my backpack and picked up my laptop. 

I started my laptop and then inserted the USB drive. A window popped up from nowhere.

[???: So your smartness is a little above average, huh. What's the square root of 4?]
[Me: 16?]
[???: Oh, so you're not above average, then.]
[Me: Oh...]
[???: Be aware that I still exist in the computer that belong to your friend Zach Rosaline.]
[Me: Cool!]
[???: Have you ever wondered that you have an alternate self?
[Me: I haven't.]
[???: That's fine. I won't tell you if you have one or not, but have you ever wondered what are the names of the missing kids?]
[???: Remember your cousin, Kimazura Saino?]
[Me: Kimazura? Yeah... I haven't met her for years now...]
[???: He also misses you, Katasuri. The name of the kids are somewhere in your name and Kimazura's name. It only has 2 syllables, and it sounds simillar to each other.]

2 syllables, and sounds simillar? Let's try removing 2 syllables from my name... First name... Tasu? Suri? Kari? That must be the right one, and the other one is Kira! I'm so smart! I typed the names of both of them, and it said "Correct."

[Me: Why did you tell me about the 2 kids missing?]
[???: You're not gonna find the kids or anything, but I'm just testing your brain. Note that the 2 kids missing... actually exists. And they are actually missing right now. I can't tell you what they're doing, though.]
[Me: I thought that news were fake!]
[???: It obviously isn't. And these 2 kids tell something to your adventure in some way.]
[Me: Hm?]
[???: I guess this is over your intelligence now, huh. I'll leave it to you to figure it out.]

My computer instantly shutted down as a way of that program saying goodbye, and it printed something at Zach's printer. It's a picture of an abandoned house! It's like one of the games I've played! This is amazing...

Before that, I woke up after sleeping early at 7PM. I wanted to talk with the program more, but I'll go sit down somewhere first. I got outside.

[Notice] Discontinutation of Monochrome Blankness ('s current storyline)

I'm really sorry, everyone, if there is even anyone who reads my stuff. I wish to discontinue this novel project of mine due to a lot of reasons. Some of those reasons include me wishing to pursue further knowledge on game development, and to improve on my writing. I felt like the pacing of the chapters was way too fast, and the storywriting's quality is poor, which resulted in me being in an art block.  I also want to spend my time doing what I love, and maybe I'll come back to love writing again. It's up to your own interpretation on how the story ends, and I'll continue writing Side Stories or Extra Chapters here and then. Well, just so you know, Ambroise and Kazai are alive and well! From now on, I will be adding date and time to the chapters I write. It's gonna be a different story, yet I'll continue it in the universe that I built with love and care.

Chapter 1: The Beginning

[10:34 PM July 8, 2026, Kazai's house] While everyone was sleeping, Satora was looking outside the window at Kazai's house while sipping some tea. There was suddenly a thunderstorm, and the thunder was abnormally too strong. She thought beforehand that it was a disaster. "Gah! W-wait, there's... Is this a disaster?"
