Chapter 26: Dark Room
[Katasu's perspective]
I just woke up in this dark room, and I thought there would be an old school computer, just like in the games.
Luckily I brought a lighter with me, so I can light up this thing...
[I used my lighter to light up what seems to be a fireplace]
Ah, there we go, it's a fireplace. The fireplace is lighting up, but who even uses fireplaces nowadays? It's 2026!
There, I could see a key... And some cat pictures! I picked up the key, and unlocked the door.
Then, I walked to the next room, and it was not as I expected! While I expected it to be a strange room that looked like a house, it was instead a dusty, small library.
There was a special-looking book that caught my eye, which seems to be... a book of cat photos! But I need to get outta here first, but... how?
So I decided to direct message Raki.

Looks like he's in danger, oh no, I need to save him! But I need myself to get out of here first! I see a keypad which seems to have locked a door that leads to the outside...

It didn't open, as I expected. I thought it would be like in the games! Hmmm...
[I picked up my UV flashlight, and flashed it on the keypad.]
Hmmm, Satora trained me to guess the passcode by the fingerprints on the keypad.

Haha, I'm so smartttttt! The door opened to the outside. Now I kinda find myself in some dark alleyway, and the door became an elevator! How is that possible???
Zach said he's in an alleyway, but this might be a different alleyway.
[Someone punched me.]
"Ow, what was that!"
"Sorry, I wanted you to be aware of your surroundings! Come on Katasu, we need to run!" It was Raki. I ran away with him, but I didn't know why. We eventually hid in an empty dumpster.
"Eek, this dumpster is so dirty, but it's our only choice since we're tired..." Raki said.
"Why did we need to run?"
"I provoked a murderer by accidentally summoning some undeads! I haven't used it in a year."
"Just test it in a safe place, Raki!"
"It's not like it's something I could control, with all these pesky spirits and undeads around me, you know? They could pop up at any time!"
"Can't you command them?"
"I can, but they usually won't listen!"
We slowly got out of the dumpster, and we heard some gunshot sounds from far away. We decided to investigate the gunshot, since that could mean someone is nearby!
"Hey, don't come any closer!" It was the sound of a kid, standing next to her armed dad! Oh no, if I can't manage to save someone, Satora said no salmon for a week!
I decided to shoot a light beam at the enemies surrounding the kid, and it actually hurt them!
"There's an enemy!" The enemies said, and looked around. It's so funny to see them being confused about where the beam came from, so I decided to attack using spears...
OWWWW!!!!! I got shot by several people! "We took that little cat kid down!" They stepped on my head, making me bleed, but the force was not enough to break my brains!
"Step away from him, you bunch of zombies." Raki walked to the enemies menacingly, while holding a gun. Is he for real? That's crazy!
"Yes, will do!" The enemies walked away from me, and disappeared. "Thank god, someone saved me!" The girl said. It's a really cute voice! "Are you their leader?"
"Of course not. These are just a bunch of really bad undeads."
"But... how did you scare them away with only a gun while my dad can't?"
[Raki smiled]
"Heh, I have the power to control the dead."
"That's a really rare power! What are you planning to do right now?"
"I'm trying to retrieve the crystal of Natoruyo to the statue."
"That's pretty cool, actually!"
The girl and her dad walked back into their house, and Raki gave her dad his number. Maybe we'll get another ally someday!
We walked away shortly to find another one of us. It's still night here at...
