Side Story 2, Chapter 2: The Light Yellow-haired Spirit

[Side Story 2, Chapter 2: The Light Yellow-haired Spirit]

I think she's here now, she's sobbing for some reason, and she's wearing a hoodie.

"...T-take me to your apartment…" The yellow-haired spirit cried. I quickly biked to my apartment, and locked the door.

"What's the matter, Naiko?"

"I'm scared…" Naiko tried to hug me, I think she's really terrified, she's scared of being dead, but she doesn't have to worry, I'm scared of dying, too.

I hugged Naiko back. It feels like my mind is getting darker...

I actually feel what Naiko is feeling! "Don't worry, I'll probably get them back later."

"No, don't go! I want to stay with you…"

Naiko and I almost look the same, except that her hair is yellow, which is a nice hair color.  Some time ago, I felt weird hugging girls, but this time I don't feel weird.

"Kasuri, where's your friend?"

"He's currently sleeping. I don't think he can help much, but… Uhm… Leave that to me."

"C-can I stay with you when you go find the crystal?"

"Sure." I stopped hugging Naiko. "I'm really tired, by the way. It's midnight now." I put Naiko to bed and tucked her in. She looks really cute when she's sleeping. Her hands felt really cold, though.

We aren't related as brothers or sisters, but I seem to be Naiko's descendant, although not blood related.

I booted up my PC, and scrolled around… Looks like many people are concerned about the crystals. I'm really concerned too, because Naiko will disappear without it.

I looked up at the sky. There's many stars and high skyscrapers. Somehow, people are still awake in the middle of a midnight. Maybe Miles is still awake too? But maybe his door is locked and he doesn't want to talk.

Suddenly, a familiar-looking black box arrived at my door. I opened it, and there's a message.

[Hey Kasuri, um, you haven't heard from me for a while, but I'm already gone. There's a flip phone in the alleyways.]

What is a flip phone supposed to do with this? Oh yeah, there might be some notes.

[I quickly got to the alleyways]

There it is! The flip phone Mr. Rumble Chisa-bird was talking about. I still miss him, why must everyone I love always die? It's always heartbreaking to see someone die.

Goro is still in my memories, forever, I will never forget about him, even though he's mean to me sometimes. I wish I could resurrect him, but he's already gone in the void.

Oh well, it's raining now. Good thing I'm wearing a coat, so I get less wet, but still wet. I forgot to bring my umbrella, though.

Well, I still need to find a shelter.

[I got into the same café and read Goro's notes.]

Weird… It doesn't feel like Goro wrote that at all… And suddenly, someone tapped on my shoulders.

"Kasuri… what are you reading?"

"The notes in Goro's phone."

I don't like how it felt. I'm totally unaware if I'm hallucinating or not… Is Miles really alive? Last time I got checked out, I'm not having any kind of hallucinations.

Miles just walked away to the kitchen, he's going to cook for other customers. I'm feeling really lonely nowadays.

The notes said something about the crystal… Maybe he's trying to help me, maybe he's fooling me for fun. The spirit guardian is going to disappear if I don't put the crystals back in time.

Suddenly, I ran into a familiar face. A green-haired woman with a royal suit, her name is Raiyumi. It's better to call her Princess Raiyumi.

"Kasuri, what are you doing here?"

"Trying to find the crystal… She'll be gone without it."

"I already found it on top of a building, I don't quite know how to get up there. I'm not as smart as everyone thinks I am, you see?"

"Why not just use your light powers?"

"The building is filled with darkness. Well, it didn't come from that prick called Ray."

I felt disappointed after she couldn't use her powers to get up there. We both entered the building, and there's a puzzle where we need to solve it in order to get to the next floor. Who's Ray, by the way?

"Hmm… I can find a crack on the floor."

"Really? I can't see really well."

I lifted out the crack, and there's actually a secret passageway to the top. We took the secret elevator.

The crystal is there! But it's hard to take out. It's overgrown by the branches of the Zerale tree, which only some tools can cut it.

[We jumped down the building, with Princess Raiyumi summoning a parachute]

Ugh… Are we really going to contact Suneru for this?

"Kasuri, you can go to sleep."

I ran back to my house after I heard that. Naiko is crying. "It's okay, Naiko. You can cry if you want…" I changed my clothes, and then slept.
