Extra Chapter 2: A beautiful woman with a trusty voice in a magicless world

Author: E.L.

This is a story about a beautiful woman with a trusty voice in a magicless world. Her name is Alice.

One day, Alice went to a museum, and was fascinated by the paintings. Alice is good at painting, but she's better at singing, so she started to practice piano everyday.

When her school had a contest, Alice participated. That day, there was a really beautiful theater with a stunning view. Alice looked around in wonder.

It took her a few hours until it was Alice's time to shine. She calibrated her piano, and cleared her throat, then started playing the piano. Her voice was so elegant, and trusty, everyone was so impressed and some fell in love with her. Alice's piano skills were impressive as well, but suddenly, a person who participated in the contest tackled Alice. The crowd gasped, and some people volunteered to help her, but there was no help Alice could recieve. It was the demise of her.

But, before the person could stab Alice with a paintbrush, Alice snatched the paintbrush then painted a woman on the canvas. A completely fictional woman, that Alice named her Estelle Rosewood. The canvas was charged with a strange power, it was one the first pieces of magic in the world. The painting moved, and everyone was shocked. How could a painting possibly move? Where did the strange power come from? It remains a mystery.

The person, a total sore loser, collapses to the ground and fainted. Everyone offered help, but once again, there was no help, so everyone fled out of the theater. There was only the person, Alice, and Estelle that was here. All of the candles in the theater extinguishes, and there was no light. It was nighttime.

When the person woke up again, he stood up and punched Alice. Nothing happened, then he punched the painting... But a hand came from the painting and restrained the person.

"Damien, you really like violence, why didn't you tell me?" Estelle spoke.

Damien tried to punch the painting again, but to no surprise, the punch was restrained; again. He felt some panic, seeing Estelle as a supernatural being, then tried to flee.... All the doors closed on him and locked.

Damien knew he could never exit from this magic-cursed place. He lost hope, and he will be plummeled further into despair. Estelle offers him a last meal, a deathday cake. It has 15 candles, lit with high-quality lighters.

Damien pushed the cake away, scared of death, because it's a world with no revival. He turned paranoid, and was panicking that there's poison in it. Estelle offers the piece of cake to Alice, and Alice ate it.

"It's delicious." Alice said. Damien waited a few minutes because he believes most poison will take effect in a few minutes, but no one died. Damien stopped for some seconds, and looked at Alice with a cold expression. He shouldn't have tackled Alice. He never expected this. Damien never expected this. It's a magicless world after all, but... How?

How is this even possible to happen? It isn't even an era with advanced technology, and no magical sparks were found. Is Alice an ailen? Is Estelle an ailen? Maybe he was hallucinating?

Damien tried to reality check by slapping himself in the face, but nothing changed in the darkness. There was only the painted canvas, him, and her.

After a few minutes, Damien decided the cake was safe, and ate the cake. The doors opened, and Estelle told Alice to get out with her painting. Damien chased, but the doors magically closed again. He found only 1 candle that dropped to the ground. He stood and inspected it, but he heard a sound from above.

A chandelier crashed on his body, and he died.

"There we go, our first victim." Estelle said, while Alice is carrying her painting away.

A few hours later, while Alice is trying to practice piano, a thought came to mind; How did this happen?

Alice felt like she was being manipulated to paint the painting before, the name "Estelle Rosewood" was also the manipulator's idea, and she acknowledged it. Is Estelle a being from another dimension, who has punished several of her victims? Maybe, it wasn't Estelle's first victim?

She wasn't completely fictional, Estelle has existed before. Even in worlds with no magic.

The manipulation for Alice to paint her and name her that was a summoning into a world. A once in a lifetime moment.

She could not believe it.

It's a magicless world after all... But how?
