Chapter ?: Where

As the spirit guardian of Space, watching the show from far above... It's kind of depressing.

Many people taking advantage of the situation are going on a massacre. 

It wasn't a Spirit Guardian who did it, nor the Reqranians, but it was an interdimensional attack. After all those years, they've managed to launch an attack that is able to detach the crystals.

But... They didn't take mine. It's enough to wipe all of them with one fell swoop. The thing I'm more interested in is an alternate universe...

A story was told to me about the Gravekeeper. The current Gravekeeper is a woman from Hantensekai, the city of Souls.

It was said that she owns a grave for important people. The Gravekeeper likes to dig a hole, and write the names of people who are going to die soon.

Some people don't want to die, and some people do... I pity them. I have a city to protect, and I want to get attached to the people of Aokane.

But, as Hantensekai said to me... Memento mori. He said it doesn't apply to spirit guardians, but... It applies to every other living being. 

I want to know where the grave is, so I can find someone that I can forever be friends with.

It's one of the curses of immortality. Each time I try to be friends with them, they always pass away a few years later. Sometimes, I felt like surrendering. I can't bear the grief of someone dying.

But I have to live forever. People die everyday, and I've failed to protect them. Because of my negligence. And I can't guarantee I won't continue.

[Notice] Discontinutation of Monochrome Blankness ('s current storyline)

I'm really sorry, everyone, if there is even anyone who reads my stuff. I wish to discontinue this novel project of mine due to a lot of reasons. Some of those reasons include me wishing to pursue further knowledge on game development, and to improve on my writing. I felt like the pacing of the chapters was way too fast, and the storywriting's quality is poor, which resulted in me being in an art block.  I also want to spend my time doing what I love, and maybe I'll come back to love writing again. It's up to your own interpretation on how the story ends, and I'll continue writing Side Stories or Extra Chapters here and then. Well, just so you know, Ambroise and Kazai are alive and well! From now on, I will be adding date and time to the chapters I write. It's gonna be a different story, yet I'll continue it in the universe that I built with love and care.

Chapter 1: The Beginning

[10:34 PM July 8, 2026, Kazai's house] While everyone was sleeping, Satora was looking outside the window at Kazai's house while sipping some tea. There was suddenly a thunderstorm, and the thunder was abnormally too strong. She thought beforehand that it was a disaster. "Gah! W-wait, there's... Is this a disaster?"
