It's morning time now. I already ate my sandwich and Naiko clings onto me after I finish eating my breakfast. She's so scared of herself dying, and yes, I'm scared of dying too.


I took the elevator to the ground floor and the first person I found was that crippled girl named Ikuro Ragami. She's one of Sai and Luka's roommates!


"Hello!" Ragami waved at me. "Some people cut the tree that's making the crystal stuck, but there's still some branches at the crystal that they can't seem to remove, and we need to use a special tool we don't have."


"Uhm… That's a nice thing, I guess? I think we're going to put the crystal into the statue earlier than I thought."


"To remove the branches off, we need to ask Ms. Suneru for the tool!"


"Who's Suneru? Oh, Kanoka changed her name to that. I won't ask her, she seems intimidating..."


"Whatever…" Ikuro used her wheelchair to get back to her school. I'm somehow really tired from sleeping at midnight yesterday, so I just got to the convenience store and bought some cola to make myself refreshed. It tasted good, actually. Back then my dad had tricked me before into thinking that coffee was cola. That's why I don't really drink them now.


I don't really trust strangers like Ms. Suneru, even though she's a super popular person. Suneru is known as the richest person in Naiko, having a balance of more than 8 trillion yen! I wish I had that much money, but I could still live with only a thousand yen.


Raiyumi is one of the people I don't really trust, too. She's entered a kingdom full of darkness, so I don't really trust her, because she might betray me later. 


Naiko doesn't like Raiyumi's personality, too, even though Rai is a descendant of hers.


It's probably time for me to work now. I'm just 11 years old, so I don't work much. I wanted to help my dad get some money, and we can continue our lives like normal.


Well, let's just… rest for a bit.


[Later at night]


[Attention. Everyone must stay hidden in their apartments. Close your lights, lock your door, and find somewhere to hide. This is not a drill.]


WHY ALL OF A SUDDEN?


[I quickly locked the door, turned off all of my lights and set up a trap Miles gave me before I never seen him again for several months]


"K-Kasuri…"


"Shhh. Be quiet, or they'll hear us."


"I'm sca-"


I took Naiko down and put my shirt over Naiko's mouth.


Maybe I should use my towel to close Naiko's eyes too? No, that would be a terrible idea, since she has better sight than me.


I searched my wardrobe and got another shirt. I wore it, even though it's not my pajamas. I feel a little uncomfortable… But I should always adapt to the situation, like my dad said.


[There were gunshot sounds from the neighborhoods]


"...!!!!" Naiko got really scared. I felt scared, too, and I barely kept myself from screaming.


[I peeked outside the window.]


S-Sachi? Why is she outside right now? Wait… No... She's dead…


She was one of my best friends, who managed to calm me down and make me happy. She used to say "You're a strong girl." to me when I was sad, and she used to comfort me. All the good memories… Can never repeat again. 


"I…" 


[I cried.]


I took a photo, and the criminal suddenly opened his mask… Let's at least get connected to the internet and send it to Satora… I don't care if she's somewhere else other than Naiko… Sachi died...


Well, let's send it to the public chat then… Keep my mind stable, Kasuri. Don't cry.

I put my phone on Do Not Disturb, so the phone won't vibrate when I get a notification. I don't want anyone to bother me anymore. I just want to live a happy life, that's it...

[Notice] Discontinutation of Monochrome Blankness ('s current storyline)

I'm really sorry, everyone, if there is even anyone who reads my stuff. I wish to discontinue this novel project of mine due to a lot of reasons. Some of those reasons include me wishing to pursue further knowledge on game development, and to improve on my writing. I felt like the pacing of the chapters was way too fast, and the storywriting's quality is poor, which resulted in me being in an art block.  I also want to spend my time doing what I love, and maybe I'll come back to love writing again. It's up to your own interpretation on how the story ends, and I'll continue writing Side Stories or Extra Chapters here and then. Well, just so you know, Ambroise and Kazai are alive and well! From now on, I will be adding date and time to the chapters I write. It's gonna be a different story, yet I'll continue it in the universe that I built with love and care.

[10:34 PM July 8, 2026, Kazai's house] While everyone was sleeping, Satora was looking outside the window at Kazai's house while sipping some tea.
